Mostly Stupid is proud to announce that we have achieved and surpassed the 1,000 posts mark. A special thanks goes out to all who have made this possible. Express yourself! MadClikr has brought avatars to the masses, so if you want to be someone more than the generic "shadow guy," update your own avatar today! Profile avatars may be updated by logging in and going to the "Update Profile" link on the top of the Web site. Enjoy!

User Profiles have been given a face lift by MadClikr. Now, users who have not yet entered avatars have a "shadow guy" to represent them, and the profiles for users who have not yet entered personal profile data will display a message to this effect.

Mostly Stupid games are now here! Beril has been hard at work writing up the beta version for our new Xwitch game (pronounced "switch"), which is similar to Lights Out. Go check it out, it's sure to be addicting!

We're looking forward to releasing Xwitch (pronounced "switch"), our first and very own Mostly Stupid game exclusive. The game will be similar to Lights Out, only with more twists and turns than ever before! Beril has been hard at work, and with the game basics coded and the high score list in the works, we're hoping to get the game out by mid-January. Please stay tuned for more details!

The wheels have been spinning over here at Mostly Stupid headquarters, and we're hoping to get several new features out to the public over the next few weeks. These features may include a Mostly Stupid radio broadcast (based on free music which is free to listen and share), a Mostly Stupid weekly poll, and a Mostly Stupid calendar which will feature stupid (un-)official day designations from around the world (such as talk like a pirate day, eat vanilla ice cream day, etc.); along with a brand spanking new layout. Well, Google is taking too long to re-index the site using the sitemaps we're generating for it, so we've decided to go with a more up-to-the-minute (or at least updated daily) search engine. Beril and I have tried over half a dozen possibilities so far, but haven't yet come up with one which does everything we need, for free. Stay tuned for more details, but in the mean time, please check out our newly posted items!

Some of you may have noticed that Mostly Stupid now has a new URL structure. This was put into place by MadClikr and Beril in order to allow for the much requested site searchability feature! Once Google re-indexes the site (we even implemented automatic site map creation and submission to Google for more efficient indexing), we'll add the search box to the top of the page!

After her Quotes Blog, MadClikr decided that it would be nice to print random quotes on the Web site. Now, as an added bonus for registering and logging into the site, random quotes will now appear under your Welcome block. Enjoy!

Advanced profiles are now here! MadClikr has created the ability for users to post additional (and optional) user details such as links to their own Web sites, and biographical blurbs about themselves. She has also updated the site so that the poster's username for items, comments, and blog entries is now linked to the applicable user's profile. So, go ahead and take a moment to update your profile and learn more about your neighbor!

In an attempt to quickly correct a discovered security hole, our hosting provider modified the server configuration, thereby breaking our code. A simple code modification has been implemented in order to regain compatibility, and the site now appears to be fully operational. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Spam, spam, spam! The Hawaiians may like to eat it, but the rest of us don't want it on our Web sites. In order to help fight the battle against the evil spam, MadClikr has implemented a security image on the registration page. For this reason, all new users will be required to input the characters shown on the image into a textbox when registering.

Celebrating our 500th item posting, Mostly Stupid will soon be changing how items are displayed within the site. Rather than linking content by each item's type (link, image, or video), we will be soon be organizing by genre (Automobiles, Food, Pranks, etc.) for easier viewing. Stay tuned for more details!
